27th Annual Charity Regatta

 

Calling All Artists ages 12 and Younger!

Get your brightly colored markers ready for the 2013 Charity Regatta Children's Art Contest. We are now accepting entries for this year's contest open to all children ages 12 and younger who want to share their perfect day on the bright blue ocean whether on a little boat or a big ship surrounded by dolphins and sea lions. The Basics:

  • All entries must be on 8.5 x 11 white copy paper
  • Outline objects with a BLACK MARKER
  • Use no more that 3 BRIGHTLY COLORED MARKERS plus BLACK
  • Entries must include Artist's Name, Age, Parents Name and Phone Number

Deadline for submitting is May 13, 2013

The winner’s artwork will be used on the Notice of Race and T-Shirts for this year’s Charity Regatta. The winner will be invited to participate in events during The Charity Regatta on September 22, 2013.Entries may be mailed to:

About the 2013 Charity Regatta

The 27th running of one of Long Beach, California's favorite regattas is set for Sunday, September 22, 2013, in the inner harbor. We are looking forward to over 50 boats ranging from 50 foot racing yachts to sabots coming out to enjoy the always beautiful Long Beach sailing conditions. 

The Yacht Clubs of Long Beach are actively seeking sponsorships for the event which offers many amenities to the corporations and businesses that support the event which raises critically needed funds for The Children's Clinic, "Serving Children and Their Families" (TCC).
